It is proposed to convert the former pub into six one-bedroom flats. The city centre location is ideal for one bedroom flats as affordable homes.
The proposal involves demolishing the modern portion at the rear and retaining as much as possible of the original building and footprint, including the existing historic façade. A new contemporary two storey extension will replace the existing addition. The design is to Passivhaus Retrofit EnerPHit standards which added a level of complexity to this scheme.
