House Restoration and Orangery, Twyford

The project lies within the village of Twyford which is part of the Winchester conservation area and South Downs National Park. The house is Grade II Listed and was built at the end of the 18th Century, with alterations and extensions occurring in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

A complete refurbishment of the house removed the late 20th Century additions and a new galleried entrance hall replaced the existing first floor landing. A new extension to the North West references an 18th Century orangery with 3 arched doorways and a pitched lantern. The lantern fills the space with natural light and the doorways offer views into the walled garden outside.
