Diss Water Tower Completed

Victoria Water Tower Refurbishment

Work has been completed on the development of a Victorian water tower in Diss.

Built at the turn of the twentieth century, the tower had become redundant due to the demands of the growing town and a new tower was constructed on the adjacent site. After being empty for many years, the site was sold as a development opportunity and CF were instructed to obtain planning permission and concent to convert the tower into two, 2 storey flats with the remainder of the site being cleared to allow further development of two 4 bedroom and one 3 bedroom dwellings.

Well established Gibbons Homes Ltd, have produced high quality executive homes and they have also enhance the features of the water tower, in particular by creating a sunroom and terrance inside the original water tank. Inside the tower, many features were also retained such as the underside of the water tank itself, feature brickwork piers and signage.

Due to planning constraints, no new openings could be formed and the bespoke windows and doors were made into the existing openings, to match the original.

In addition to the tower, the new built homes benefit from underfloor heating, high energy rated appliances, wood flooring/tiling and carpeting throughout, wood burnders and high quality kitchen and bathroom fittings.
